Each week, your family will produce a lot of laundries. You may have to wash and dry it on your own or pay for washing and drying services. Laundromats are a convenient place to wash and dry clothes, but you need to know how to use them correctly.
Most people who use a laundromat regularly have their little system worked out so they can get in, wash and dry their clothes and be on their way home in no time.
Below, I have summarized seven tips to help you with your first visit to our laundromat:
1. Sort your clothes and save time- You can divide your clothing into three piles: colored, white and black items. This method will save you time when washing your clothes later.
2. Read our washing instructions- Because every laundromat is different, you must read the instructions before you put your clothes in the washer. This way, you can be sure that you are using the proper washer and dryer settings.
3. Use an appropriate amount of laundry detergent- Using too much laundry detergent might result in discolored garments. Your clothes will also not become clean if you use too little detergent.
4. Properly load the washing machine- Avoid overloading the washer since it might cause your clothes to come out dirty. Put fewer clothes in the washing machine when in doubt. As a rule of thumb, leave a space of two fists high above your clothes in the drum.
5. Select the appropriate washing machine for the job - If you have a lot of clothes of one type to wash, use an extra large washer to avoid several loads and save money.
6. Don't overload the dryer- Check if the dryer isn't overloaded so your clothes dry on time. We have marked the maximum load on the glass door.
7. Remove your clothes from the dryer promptly- Leaving your clothes in the dryer for too long causes them to wrinkle.
